About the role

  • Setting up and managing collaborative processes to ensure team members are actively working together. Collaborating with peers to improve how we work across the design organization;
  • Ensuring UX is prioritized by working with product leadership to identify opportunities for validation and better cross-functional collaboration;
  • Working closely with stakeholders, ensuring they are well-informed about UX initiatives and advocating for their prioritization;
  • Participating actively in milestones by reviewing UX deliverables (research and designs) and providing feedback to ensure high-quality output;
  • Taking a proactive stance in identifying significant, strategic UX opportunities that transcend internal areas and span across the product, showcasing the Product Design Manager's foresight and strategic thinking;
  • Defining and managing the Product Design team's performance indicators, such as user satisfaction and design quality metrics, and Next Steps, including design sprints and research plans. Facilitating the creation and execution of Product Design OKRs in collaboration with the Product Design team and other business units;
  • Contributing to product direction conversations and staying involved in the strategy and vision of the product areas.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in product design, preferably on web and mobile apps and at least 3 years managing and leading design and creative teams;
  • Leadership: Experience leading a group of designers and other specialists who work on complex products;
  • Management: Have strong philosophy about how to create an environment that empowers remote design teams and encourages them to deliver high-impact work;
  • Technical Skills: Solid visual awareness with understanding of design principles like typography, layout, composition, and color theory.Proficiency with design software;
  • Strategy: Experience defining the high-level strategy (the why) and creating design deliverables (the how) based on research;
  • Creativity: Passion for creating visually pleasing and intuitive user experiences;
  • Communication: Collaborative team spirit with great communication skills. Able to clearly communicate to technical and non-technical teams the impact of your design based on research & data. Ability to actively engage and manage relationships with key stakeholders, translating business requirements into innovative design solutions and effectively communicating design choices through storytelling and presentations.
