About the role

  • Own and lead the company’s global commercial data and analytics capability, ensuring data is easy to access, reliable, and truly useful for decision making.
  • Transform today’s fragmented and manual data landscape into an integrated, automated analytics platform that supports brands, countries, and leadership teams.
  • Define a pragmatic, multi year analytics roadmap that fits a mid size pharmaceutical company — balancing innovation, speed, scalability, and cost.
  • Ensure commercial data (sales, CRM, omnichannel, patient, market research, etc.) is consistently collected, integrated, and governed across key markets.
  • Move the organization beyond basic reporting toward predictive and action oriented insights (e.g. forecasting, targeting, scenario planning).
  • Translate complex data into clear insights, decision rules, dashboards, and playbooks embedded into daily commercial workflows.
  • Build analytics products and simple self service tools that support brand teams, country leadership, and the field force.
  • Establish strong data governance, quality, privacy, and compliance standards in collaboration with IT, Legal, and Compliance.
  • Build and lead a high performing analytics team, while improving data literacy across commercial teams.
  • Act as a trusted strategic advisor to senior leadership, providing fast, high quality analytics to support key business decisions.

Requirements

  • An advanced degree in data, analytics, computer science, statistics, or a related field; an MBA or pharma specific qualification is a plus.
  • 15+ years of experience in data and analytics, including senior leadership roles within pharmaceutical or life sciences commercial environments.
  • A proven track record of leading data transformation initiatives, from architecture and engineering to advanced analytics adoption.
  • Strong hands on understanding of cloud data platforms, data engineering, BI/visualisation, and advanced analytics (e.g. SQL, Python, Power BI).
  • Deep knowledge of pharma commercial operations, including sales, marketing, omnichannel engagement, market access, and brand planning.
  • Experience working with key pharma data types and platforms (e.g. sales data, CRM, patient level data, marketing automation systems).
  • Solid understanding of data governance, master data management, and healthcare data privacy requirements.
  • A strategic yet pragmatic leadership style, able to connect technical solutions with real business needs.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex topics to non technical stakeholders and executives.
  • Demonstrated ability to build, lead, and develop high performing teams and drive change in complex organizations.
