Finance & Administration Manager – Non-Profit
GoVolunteerFinance & Administration Manager at GoVolunteer overseeing financial tasks and reporting for social projects. Supporting the team in administrative processes within a non-profit environment.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Preparatory finance and payroll accounting: You will be responsible for independently preparing the monthly financial and payroll accounting. You will ensure the completeness and order of all relevant documents and submit them to our tax advisor on time.
- Reporting & controlling: You will capture and structure our financial data for internal analyses and document payment flows and project-related expenditures as part of funding reports for our grant partners. You will work closely with the management team and project leads.
- Liquidity management: Even nonprofit organizations need to pay bills. Ensure that all payments are made on time.
- Process optimization in administration: You will support the further development and standardization of our internal processes, tools, and documentation structures in the administrative area to ensure transparency and efficiency.
- Administrative support: You won’t shy away from looking beyond your core tasks and will take on selected administrative duties in day-to-day operations from other areas, contributing to smooth organizational processes within the team.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Numerical affinity & digital competence: You enjoy working with numbers and have good Excel skills. You are comfortable with digital tools and ideally already have experience with accounting or controlling software.
- Accuracy & sense of responsibility: You work in a structured, precise, and reliable manner. You keep deadlines – e.g., for fund disbursements or reporting – firmly in sight.
- Organizational talent & overview: You keep track even when handling multiple projects and budgets, structure information clearly, and are not afraid of administrative tasks or detailed analyses.
- Independent working style & team spirit: You work independently and solution-oriented, think proactively, and drive topics forward. At the same time, you seek exchange within the team, ask questions when necessary, and understand collaboration as a real added value.
