About the role
- Support USCG Maverick contract as a Systems Engineer remotely
- Gather information about Company products and competitor capabilities
- Generate quantifiable requirements and ensure verification
- Translate high-level product development strategies into network and system requirement specifications
- Establish standards, practices, and procedures related to network and system development
- Design interfaces and integrate network and system elements
- Assess system performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures
- Serve as customer liaison and support business development to shape requirements
- Coordinate planning, design, and installation of equipment using engineering and programming knowledge
- Participate in system conceptual design and document design concepts
- Install new hardware, systems, and software for networks
- Design, create, and build network services, equipment, and devices
- Generate system-level verification and customer acceptance test procedures
- Monitor system performance and implement performance tuning
- Review test plans/procedures and participate in testing processes to validate requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor's with 5 - 8 years of system engineering experience (or commensurate experience)
- Clearance Required: Must be clearable up to an active Secret clearance
- Experience in system engineering, network and system design
- Ability to gather information concerning product capabilities and investigate technical capabilities
- Ability to generate quantifiable requirements and translate high level strategies into network and system requirement specifications
- Experience establishing standards, practices, and procedures related to network and system development
- Experience designing interfaces and integrating network and system elements
- Experience assessing performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures
- Experience coordinating planning, design, and installation of equipment, including engineering and programming knowledge
- Experience participating in system conceptual design and documentation
- Ability to install hardware, systems, and software for networks
- Experience generating system level requirements verification procedures and customer acceptance test procedures
- Experience monitoring system performance and implementing performance tuning
- Experience reviewing test plans/procedures and participating in testing to validate requirements
