About the role
- The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical expertise, testing leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- The UAT Engineer will own strategy development, scenario design, test execution coordination, and cross-functional collaboration throughout the UAT lifecycle.
- Designs, develops, and implements testing methods to ensure that the product will perform to specifications.
- Plans and arranges the labor, schedules, and equipment required for testing and evaluating the product.
- Designs test cases for test plans and create test scenarios in which tests are carried out.
- Compiles data, defines required changes and reports defects and problems that occurred during the test process.
- Implements and participates in the walkthrough of the product.
- Consults with the development and requirements team to coordinate and test applications.
- Liaise with project team and business stakeholders to ensure alignment of testing goals.
- Performs analysis, diagnostics and preliminary evaluations of products to develop testing procedures.
- Develops test plans, scripts, scenarios, functional tests, regression tests, and deployment tests.
- Implements the testing processes and ensures all test activities follow those processes.
- Produces reports on each test activity and tracks test metrics.
- Monitors for continual test process improvement through failure analysis, throughput analysis, yield analysis, and report to management periodically.
- Provide regular reporting through documentation, dashboards, test progress reports, and executive summaries.
- Conduct status meetings, risk reviews, and post-mortem/lessons learned sessions.
- Implement best practices and frameworks (e.g., Agile, DevOps) to streamline test cycles.
Requirements
- Bachelor's with 8+ years (or commensurate experience)
- 5 years of UAT experience
- Speaking/hosting to a group.
- Excellent skills with Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Jira, Jira JQL, Confluence.
- Strong documenting skills.
