About the role

  • Design, build, and maintain data pipelines and workflows using Azure Data Factory (ADF)
  • Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL queries, stored procedures, and data models
  • Configure and manage Self-Hosted Integration Runtime (SHIR)
  • Implement and support data infrastructure solutions
  • Assist in development and refine new data sources and reports available to VA
  • Assist in testing and the creation of test cases
  • Assist with Authority to Operate (ATO) renewal
  • Work closely with data analysts and business users to provide Power BI datasets
  • Monitor data flows, perform root cause analysis for failures, and implement logging, alerting, and auditing where needed

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience
  • Proficiency in Azure Data Factory, including pipeline orchestration, linked services, datasets, and triggers
  • Strong knowledge of T-SQL, relational databases (e.g., Azure SQL, SQL Server), and performance tuning
  • Experience with SHIR setup and troubleshooting for hybrid data integration
  • Familiarity with Power BI data modeling, DAX calculations, and report performance optimization
  • Understanding of cloud infrastructure (Azure preferred), data security, and access management
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with an ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
