About the role
- Manage and support daily operations of enterprise storage systems, including HPE 3PAR, NetApp, and SAN fabric infrastructure.
- Monitor storage performance, capacity, and availability; troubleshoot and resolve issues proactively.
- Lead the planning and execution of the HPE 3PAR to NetApp migration, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Collaborate with application, database, and virtualization teams to align storage strategies with business requirements.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to storage configurations, policies, procedures, and architecture.
- Ensure data protection and disaster recovery compliance through backup and replication strategies.
- Work with vendors and support teams to resolve complex hardware/software issues.
- Apply firmware and software updates to storage infrastructure.
- Automate routine tasks using scripts and management tools where applicable.
- Participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience with HPE 3PAR and NetApp storage systems in a large enterprise environment.
- Strong understanding of storage protocols (iSCSI, FC, NFS, CIFS).
- Hands-on experience with SAN environments (e.g., Brocade, Cisco MDS).
- Familiarity with VMware, Windows, and Linux environments as they relate to storage provisioning.
- Experience managing and executing large-scale storage migrations.
- Ability to write clear and concise documentation.
- Clearance Required: US Citizenship is required to obtain an Active Secret Clearance.
