About the role
- Lead assigned month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close workstreams to ensure accurate and timely delivery of outputs.
- Perform journal entries and review financial statements.
- Work and collaborate with other finance teams in the reporting and analysis of financial statements.
- Strengthen governance for assigned areas by setting standards for reconciliations, schedules, and timely clearing of reconciling items; escalate risks early and drive cross-team resolution.
- Work closely with the audit team to complete annual external audit and tax filings, including timely closure of audit queries for assigned reporting areas.
- Perform various research and financial analysis to assist in the identification of potential accounting issues, or as may be required by leadership.
- Maintain accurate and complete financial records, schedules and including ledgers, journals, invoices, receipts, and information related to bank transactions.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and lead process improvement efforts to increase accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency in financial reporting.
- Participating in ad hoc projects and performing other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- An Accounting or Finance-related degree
- A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in financial and management reporting.
- Robust knowledge of finance and accounting principles, general business practices, and financial statements techniques
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for various levels throughout the organization
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, demonstrating good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
