About the role

Design and implement sophisticated statistical and machine learning models to solve complex business problems, optimize service delivery, and predict user behaviour.
Partner with senior stakeholders, including product managers, engineers, and executives, to understand business objectives and translate them into actionable data insights.
Lead and mentor a team of data scientists and analysts. Provide guidance on best practices, model development, and analytical techniques.
Develop and enforce data governance and quality standards. Oversee data pipeline development, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and accessibility.
Design and execute A/B tests and other experimentation methodologies to assess the impact of changes in product features, user interactions, and service delivery.
Create high-impact visualizations and dashboards to communicate complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
Stay abreast of the latest trends and advancements in data science, machine learning, and analytics. Apply innovative techniques and tools to enhance analytical capabilities.

Master’s in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field. Advanced academic qualifications are highly desirable.
5-7 years of experience in data science or a related field, preferably within the on-demand services or technology industry.
Expertise in programming languages such as Python, R, or Scala, as well as proficiency with data manipulation and visualization libraries (e.g., pandas, NumPy, matplotlib, seaborn).
Understanding of statistical concepts and techniques, with experience applying them to real-world problems.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
A passion for learning and innovation, with a desire to stay ahead of the curve in the rapidly evolving field of data science and technology.
Experience with ride-hailing, quick commerce or food delivery domain would be a bonus.
Experience working with unstructured or semi-structured data and human-in-the-loop data operations would be a bonus.
Experience with distributed systems would be a bonus.
