Key responsibilities & impact

Review, prioritize, and fulfill ad-hoc financial data inquiries from internal firm users via a ticketing system in a timely and accurate manner.
Extract, manipulate, and analyze data out of core data warehouses and legal financial application tools.
Write and execute simple SQL queries to extract necessary financial sets for reporting requests.
Identify needs for automated data reporting solutions based on recurring internal user requests.
Coordinate directly with FinTech developers to design, test, and provide automated data-driven solutions for customers and internal departments.
Assist in mapping out data requirements and workflow logic to improve reporting delivery and data visibility across the firm.
Validate reporting outputs to maintain data integrity and protect the quality of reporting systems.
Translate complex financial data into clear, readable layouts (such as spreadsheets, summaries, or basic presentation formats) for users of varying financial aptitudes.

Requirements

What you’ll need

A four-year college degree, ideally in accounting, business, finance, or mathematics
Applicants with equivalent, relevant work experience in the accounting and/or legal fields will also be considered
Work experience or academic background should demonstrate appropriate understanding/working knowledge of detailed financial data and modeling
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL, SSRS, and Teams is a strong plus
Solid computer literacy and familiarity with the standard MS Office Suite, including word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation programs
Ability to communicate and interact effectively with employees with varied backgrounds, skill sets, and levels of financial technical aptitude
Highly organized, adept at prioritizing data requests, problem-solving, and working under deadlines
Ability to work both independently, with little or no direction, and collaboratively within a team or inter-departmentally.
