About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Review, prioritize, and fulfill ad-hoc financial data inquiries from internal firm users via a ticketing system in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Extract, manipulate, and analyze data out of core data warehouses and legal financial application tools.
  • Write and execute simple SQL queries to extract necessary financial sets for reporting requests.
  • Identify needs for automated data reporting solutions based on recurring internal user requests.
  • Coordinate directly with FinTech developers to design, test, and provide automated data-driven solutions for customers and internal departments.
  • Assist in mapping out data requirements and workflow logic to improve reporting delivery and data visibility across the firm.
  • Validate reporting outputs to maintain data integrity and protect the quality of reporting systems.
  • Translate complex financial data into clear, readable layouts (such as spreadsheets, summaries, or basic presentation formats) for users of varying financial aptitudes.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A four-year college degree, ideally in accounting, business, finance, or mathematics
  • Applicants with equivalent, relevant work experience in the accounting and/or legal fields will also be considered
  • Work experience or academic background should demonstrate appropriate understanding/working knowledge of detailed financial data and modeling
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL, SSRS, and Teams is a strong plus
  • Solid computer literacy and familiarity with the standard MS Office Suite, including word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation programs
  • Ability to communicate and interact effectively with employees with varied backgrounds, skill sets, and levels of financial technical aptitude
  • Highly organized, adept at prioritizing data requests, problem-solving, and working under deadlines
  • Ability to work both independently, with little or no direction, and collaboratively within a team or inter-departmentally.
