About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Review, prioritize, and fulfill ad-hoc financial data inquiries from internal firm users via a ticketing system in a timely and accurate manner.
- Extract, manipulate, and analyze data out of core data warehouses and legal financial application tools.
- Write and execute simple SQL queries to extract necessary financial sets for reporting requests.
- Identify needs for automated data reporting solutions based on recurring internal user requests.
- Coordinate directly with FinTech developers to design, test, and provide automated data-driven solutions for customers and internal departments.
- Assist in mapping out data requirements and workflow logic to improve reporting delivery and data visibility across the firm.
- Validate reporting outputs to maintain data integrity and protect the quality of reporting systems.
- Translate complex financial data into clear, readable layouts (such as spreadsheets, summaries, or basic presentation formats) for users of varying financial aptitudes.
Requirements
What you’ll need- A four-year college degree, ideally in accounting, business, finance, or mathematics
- Applicants with equivalent, relevant work experience in the accounting and/or legal fields will also be considered
- Work experience or academic background should demonstrate appropriate understanding/working knowledge of detailed financial data and modeling
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL, SSRS, and Teams is a strong plus
- Solid computer literacy and familiarity with the standard MS Office Suite, including word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation programs
- Ability to communicate and interact effectively with employees with varied backgrounds, skill sets, and levels of financial technical aptitude
- Highly organized, adept at prioritizing data requests, problem-solving, and working under deadlines
- Ability to work both independently, with little or no direction, and collaboratively within a team or inter-departmentally.
