About the role

  • Performs on-site engagements consisting of field examinations of prospect and existing asset-based borrower's collateral records and financial reports.
  • Analyzes and validates information through detail testing as defined by the field examination program.
  • Evaluates accounting system controls and data integrity.
  • Documents findings/results of engagements and provides feedback to staff.
  • Manages the deliverable to the client from start to finish.
  • Contributes to and promotes a positive environment to improve team effectiveness.
  • Maintains a current professional development plan reflecting a commitment to self-development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, audit or finance or equivalent experience in finance, public accounting, or banking required.
  • Minimum of 4 years prior experience in field exam, including knowledge of borrowing base lending, Asset Based Lending (ABL) or other forms of secured finance.
  • Financial books and records or financial auditing experience required; forensic accounting/ financial due diligence experience helpful.
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Excel and Word is required.
  • Working knowledge of MS PowerPoint preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • A high degree of integrity and business acumen.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Knowledge of financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements; familiarity with GAAP principles.
