About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Execute and scale GFiber’s network defenses
Deliver clear network security objectives and contribute to complex infrastructure projects
Architect, deploy, and harden edge defenses and core routing infrastructure
Mitigate large-scale attacks and safeguard GFiber’s network boundaries
Drive execution on network security targets across physical, virtual, and cloud network footprints
Automate network security workflows, configurations, and alerting pipelines
Advise during cross-functional infrastructure reviews and partner with Network Engineering
Identify network posture improvements and collaborate with leads and peers to implement changes

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience
5 years of direct experience in security engineering, network security, or infrastructure security
Experience with BGP, firewalls, ACLs, high-volume traffic analysis, and external network threat mitigation
Direct experience with Infrastructure as Code, such as Terraform or Ansible
Scripting experience with Python or Go for network automation or security tooling
Experience securing physical, virtual, and cloud network environments
