About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Execute and scale GFiber’s network defenses
  • Deliver clear network security objectives and contribute to complex infrastructure projects
  • Architect, deploy, and harden edge defenses and core routing infrastructure
  • Mitigate large-scale attacks and safeguard GFiber’s network boundaries
  • Drive execution on network security targets across physical, virtual, and cloud network footprints
  • Automate network security workflows, configurations, and alerting pipelines
  • Advise during cross-functional infrastructure reviews and partner with Network Engineering
  • Identify network posture improvements and collaborate with leads and peers to implement changes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience
  • 5 years of direct experience in security engineering, network security, or infrastructure security
  • Experience with BGP, firewalls, ACLs, high-volume traffic analysis, and external network threat mitigation
  • Direct experience with Infrastructure as Code, such as Terraform or Ansible
  • Scripting experience with Python or Go for network automation or security tooling
  • Experience securing physical, virtual, and cloud network environments
