About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist the L&PD senior leadership team with global learning and professional development programs for lawyers and professional staff
  • Assist with administrative tasks related to the Goodwin 2033 strategic ten-year planning initiative
  • Provide management and logistical support for programs and events, including budgets, contracts, calendars, invitations, room reservations, catering, program materials, and on-site support
  • Assist with planning and coordination of core professional staff trainings, including developing and implementing project plans
  • Coordinate ongoing professional development programs, including feedback surveys, data tracking, and program administration
  • Research, develop, and implement new training programs and initiatives with L&PD Managers and Directors
  • Oversee administration of the Education Assistance Policy, American Express assignments, and reimbursement processes
  • Assist with Continuing Legal Education course accreditation and compliance, including video library management, form circulation, and attendance tracking
  • Collaborate with other administrative departments on L&PD programs and initiatives
  • Assist with department budget creation and management and track professional staff account expenses
  • Support ad hoc L&PD team initiatives and projects using PowerPoint, Excel, and Survey Monkey/Microsoft Forms

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required
  • At least 1 year of experience in a law firm, corporate setting, educational institution, or professional services environment preferred
  • Experience with learning management systems and/or Workday is a plus
  • Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Sound judgment and creative problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information with discretion
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects with shifting priorities
  • Flexibility and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Proactive and collaborative work style with a strong work ethic
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Office applications, Zoom, and Teams
