About the role
- Manages GII engagement on public policy, legislative and regulatory issues
- Collaborates with GII team members and local Goodwill organizations
- Represents Goodwill with Congress, the Administration, and coalitions
- Develops and implements strategies to increase Goodwill’s visibility
- Monitors federal and state legislative and regulatory developments
- Supports social media and digital advocacy strategies
- Manages advocacy engagement for designated issues
- Contributes to the development of Goodwill’s public policy agenda
- Analyzes policy, legislative and regulatory developments
- Engages and supports local Goodwill leaders
- Organizes advocacy campaigns and develops training materials
- Manages relationships with stakeholder coalitions.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in nonprofit governance/tax policy analysis and advocacy
- Project management and ability to meet deadlines with quality work
- Established internal and external consensus with effective written and oral communication
- Demonstrated policy, regulatory and/or political analysis skills
- Effective with an array of computer applications and social media mechanisms
- Interacted effectively with executive and senior management level
- Represented a national or regional organization
- Monitored and influenced elected and appointed officials.
