About the role

  • Establish emerging market presence and distribution channels to sell new products and solutions via consulting partnerships.
  • Identify, pursue, and close new employer sales opportunities within assigned markets and industry segments.
  • Execute outreach strategies to generate qualified leads and strengthen the employer sales pipeline.
  • Participate in RFP responses, finalist presentations, and contract negotiations.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key consulting and brokerage firms to drive awareness and advocacy for the company’s offerings.
  • Serve as a resource for consultants by providing education on product capabilities, differentiators, and market positioning.
  • Coordinate with internal marketing and leadership teams to support joint events, webinars, and partnership opportunities.
  • Engage directly with employer HR and benefits leaders to assess their needs and propose tailored pharmacy and benefits solutions.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal implementation, product, and operations teams to ensure seamless onboarding and client satisfaction.
  • Support strategic renewal and expansion discussions as assigned.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive dynamics within pharmacy and employee benefits.
  • Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and networking forums to elevate brand presence and credibility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required, but advanced degree preferred;
  • minimum of 15 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 12 years and a Master’s degree
  • 15+ years of B2B sales or account management experience, preferably within healthcare, pharmacy benefits, or employee benefits industries.
  • Proven ability to develop relationships with employer decision-makers and benefits consultants.
  • Strong understanding of pharmacy benefits, claims processing, and employee benefits administration.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Consultative selling approach with the ability to tailor solutions to employer needs.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and data-driven sales tools.
  • Client-focused and relationship-driven.
  • Collaborative team player who thrives in a cross-functional environment.
  • Highly credible with HR, benefits, and consultant audiences.
  • Self-starter who operates with accountability and professional maturity.
