Business Development Director

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Drive strategic growth across the medium to large commercial sector
- Lead sales for solar and energy storage solutions
- Development of key partner relationships
- Oversee the full offering from system design, technology selection, installation through to operations and maintenance
- Build Good Energy commercial sales strategies and plans
- Optimise the achievement of commercial solar sales targets
- Collaborate with the Services Sales Director to shape the propositions/products offered to commercial customers
- Identify new customers through networks and industry events
- Respond to inbound commercial leads generated by marketing
- Manage relationships with prospects from initial discussions to installations
- Ensure solar system designs meet quality, health and safety, and efficiency targets
- Collaborate with Operations teams for smooth installation and post-sale support
- Champion the Good Energy brand at customer-facing events
Requirements
What you’ll need- Driven and strategic sales professional with a passion for renewable energy
- Proven track record in selling solar and storage solutions to commercial clients
- Strong communication skills with a collaborative approach
- Ability to work closely with internal teams and external partners
- Experience in overcoming challenges and building trust
- Focus on achieving sales targets while maintaining a high-quality pipeline of opportunities
- Work closely with the Services Sales Director to shape and execute strategic growth plans
