Lead Services Procurement and Stock Control functions, overseeing full procurement cycle and stock operations.
Manage and develop a team of 7 (3 Buyers, 1 Operational Buyer, and 3 Warehouse staff) to ensure high performance and collaboration.
Own supplier strategy, supplier selection, tendering, and contract negotiation to secure commercial and service outcomes.
Drive category management strategies and monitor market trends to inform decisions and create long-term value.
Build and maintain supplier relationships to meet quality, cost, delivery, and sustainability goals; lead supplier performance reviews and improvement initiatives.
Ensure compliance with internal and external procurement policies.
Establish and oversee stock and warehouse management processes.
Act as key lead for SAP implementation as an MRP system and support strategic projects to improve efficiency, cost control, resilience, and risk management.
Requirements
Proven experience in procurement, supply chain or category management.
Strong background in sourcing, supplier negotiations, and contract management.
Demonstrable success in leading and developing high-performing teams.
Experience using market intelligence to create budgets and influence category strategies.
Hands-on experience with stock control and warehouse operations.
Knowledge of working with SAP and/or MRP systems.
Strong commercial acumen, analytical ability, and project management skills.
Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) membership or relevant postgraduate qualification.
Experience of sustainable and ethical sourcing.
Proven ability to build strong stakeholder relationships and communicate at all levels.
