Domestic Solar Sales Consultant – South East

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Customer consultations: Conduct in-home visits to assess suitability for solar, understanding homeowner needs, and provide tailored proposals.
- Lead conversion: Turn inbound enquiries into successful installations with expert advice and a consultative approach.
- Pipeline growth: Build your own pipeline through referrals, community events, and local networking.
- Sales targets: Consistently meet or exceed monthly and annual sales goals.
- Objection handling: Address questions and concerns around solar technology, finance options, and installation.
- Customer relationships: Build trust with homeowners through honest advice, empathy, and excellent follow-up.
- Post-Sale support: Work closely with operations and technical teams to ensure a seamless customer journey.
- Product expertise: Stay up to date on domestic solar and battery technology to provide informed recommendations.
- Brand representation: Represent Good Energy at events, home shows, and sustainability initiatives in your area.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Sales experience: Proven track record in face-to-face sales, ideally within the home energy or renewables sector.
- Consultative selling: Able to understand individual needs and design bespoke solar solutions.
- Closing ability: Skilled at securing sales during or after in-home consultations.
- Strong communication: Warm, clear, and persuasive in person and over the phone.
- Technical curiosity: Eager to learn and explain solar technology in simple terms.
- Organisation & resilience: Confident managing your pipeline and following up with leads.
- Autonomy & teamwork: Self-motivated but thrives in a supportive team.
- Open to Travel: Full UK driving licence and happy to travel when required
