About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the overall strategy for the Activities portfolio, including Colorific, Crazy Aaron’s, compounds, creative play, arts and crafts, and related activity-based categories
- Define each product’s target consumer, price point, retailer fit, positioning, and growth potential
- Identify opportunities to expand, refresh, rationalize, or reposition the Activities line
- Lead brand marketing direction and define consumer positioning, product stories, selling points, packaging direction, and go-to-market messaging
- Partner with Creative on packaging, naming, copy, visual assets, and presentation materials
- Lead annual and seasonal line planning for Activities
- Manage product timelines, launch details, internal milestones, and key deliverables
- Partner with Sales on retailer line reviews, previews, presentations, and sell-in strategy
- Monitor category and consumer trends across creative play, activities, compounds, arts and crafts, collectibles, sensory play, kid trends, and parent-driven purchasing
- Use consumer and category insights to inform portfolio decisions, product development, packaging direction, and brand strategy
- Serve as the brand marketing lead across internal teams
- Collaborate with Product Development, Licensing, Creative, Sales, and regional marketing teams
- Align internal teams on product strategy, item status, positioning, launch timing, and commercial priorities
Requirements
What you’ll need- 6+ years of experience in brand marketing, product marketing, category management, toys, activities, arts and crafts, compounds, consumer products, or related fields
- Experience working with physical consumer products, ideally within toys, activities, creative play, compounds, or family/kid-focused products
- Strong understanding of brand positioning, product storytelling, retail needs, and consumer appeal
- Ability to manage a portfolio, build line plans, and support commercial growth
- Strong presentation, communication, and cross-functional leadership skills
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple products, timelines, and priorities
- Ability to balance creative thinking with commercial execution and strong follow-through
