💰 $90,000 - $105,000 per year
About the role
- Oversee the accounts payable by reviewing/posting accounts payable and monitoring to ensure timely payment
- Sets up contracts and task orders in the accounting system
- Reconciliation of all accounts, including preparation of schedules to support all account balances
- Billing of customer invoices and billing for all intercompany costs incurred as appropriate
- Monitor receivables and payables to ensure payments are received and made in a timely manner
- Preparation of weekly vendor payments
- Processing of cash receipts and bank deposits
- Preparation of intercompany charges and reconciliation
- Conduct clerical duties such as filing, scanning, faxing, photocopying, etc.
- Assist in annual audits
- Provides customer service support for questions and requests from other accounting team members, vendors, subsidiary staff and executive management
- Ensures adherence to standard deadlines and timely closing in accordance with established schedule
- Prepare monthly financial reports include income statements, balance sheets, project report and other reports as required
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Working knowledge of relevant cost accounting principles, GAAP, as well as FAR regulations
- Strong accounting skills
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices

- Skill in working harmoniously within cross-functional teams to achieve common objectives
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines

- Proficiency in standard software applications, including Windows and MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) with strong knowledge of Excel
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of 4 years of experience working with government contracting
- Government contract accounting experience and a working knowledge of relevant cost accounting principles, GAAP, as well as FAR regulations
- Experience with Deltek Costpoint required
