Protection, safeguarding, and security of assets, personnel, and others at assigned site.
Inspect bags and personal belongings of individuals entering premises.
Detect and prevent unauthorized entry of prohibited items.
Drive corporate vehicle from Goldbelt corporate office to boat launch site.
Monitor boat safety and get on and monitor boat safety.
Check bags of miners and boarding personnel; conduct thorough inspections of bags, backpacks, purses, and personal belongings.
Verify identity of individuals as necessary, following established protocols.
Enforce security policies and procedures to prevent entry of weapons, explosives, contraband, or restricted items.
Provide friendly and professional customer service and assistance to visitors.
Notify local Emergency response agency in events; maintain order and render basic first aid or CPR as needed.
Protect interests and property of Goldbelt Security and the Client.
Perform other incidental and related duties as assigned.

Knowledge of safety and security issues related to pedestrian and vehicular traffic.

High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must have 12 months experience as a licensed security guard.
Six (6) months of experience dealing with the public.
Ability to obtain a Security Guard license issued by the State of Alaska.
Ability to pass a background check.
If applicable, ability to obtain basic first aid and CPR certification within 3 months of hire.
If applicable, ability to pass a drug screen.
If applicable, Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Must be competent in use of Microsoft word documents and time keeping.
Preferred: Six (6) months of experience in a work environment requiring safety and security precautions, i.e. previous military, law enforcement or security experience.
