About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Gain hands-on exposure to electrical maintenance and asset management activities supporting the reliability of fixed plant, power distribution, and mobile equipment infrastructure
  • Support electrical compliance including inspections, testing, and documentation in accordance with relevant Australian standards
  • Participate in engineering projects involving the design, installation, or modification of electrical systems from scoping and specification through to commissioning and handover
  • Observe and contribute to electrical safety management practices, including hazard identification, isolation procedures, and safe work method development
  • Work alongside experienced engineers, supervisors, and tradespeople building professional networks and understand how multidisciplinary teams deliver safe and efficient outcomes on site

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Current driver’s licence (ideally manual license or with desire to obtain it in the future)
  • In progress of completing your Tertiary Qualification in Electrical Engineering or similar (second year or above)
  • Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance
  • Comfortable working 12-hour shifts in remote locations on a fly in, fly out roster
