About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Monitor and analyze operational costs, including fuel, crew, maintenance and airport fees, with breakdowns by product, fleet/equipment, route and operation
  • Translate operational KPIs into financial impact, including CASK, margin and EBITDA
  • Develop and maintain executive dashboards with drill-down capabilities, ensuring transparency and traceability of cost and performance drivers
  • Continuously monitor operational and financial KPIs and produce variance analyses (Actuals vs Budget vs Forecast)
  • Maintain continuous interface with operational areas through recurring follow-up forums (weekly/monthly business reviews)
  • Support strategic fleet and network decisions with sensitivity analyses on fuel, foreign exchange and productivity
  • Identify financial risks and opportunities associated with operations and propose action plans

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Accounting, Finance or related fields
  • Experience in Controllership, FP&A, Business Control, Financial Planning or related areas
  • Experience managing budgets, forecasting results and performing variance analysis (Actuals vs Budget vs Forecast)
  • Experience acting as a strategic business partner to operations
  • Advanced Excel (financial modeling, Power Query, pivot tables)
  • BI and dashboard tools: Power BI, Tableau or similar
  • Knowledge of ERP systems: SAP (CO/FI modules), SAC Planning, OneStream or similar
  • Solid understanding and principles of managerial accounting
  • Familiarity with airline industry KPIs: CASK, RASK, ASK, RPK, Block Hours (BH), OTP (On-Time Performance), Load Factor
  • Advanced conversational English
  • Intermediate or advanced Spanish is desirable
