About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support risk assessments and effectiveness testing of internal controls, ensuring adherence to key governance frameworks such as COSO and compliance of processes with internal and external regulations;
Support activities related to business controls, including the effectiveness of critical applications and the integrity of processed information;
Contribute to Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance efforts, ensuring controls are well-designed, documented and aligned with regulatory requirements;
Assist in preparing clear, concise reports, tailoring the level of detail to the target audience (internal audit, executive management or board);
Analyze and evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of action plans, monitoring timelines and the mitigation of residual risks;
Support continuous improvement initiatives by automating control testing and optimizing evidence and metrics;
Promote an internal controls culture through presentations, training sessions and workshops;
Act as a facilitator for external audits, ensuring the integrity and timeliness of information provided by the business areas.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or related fields (diploma or proof of graduation);
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office, with emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint;
Previous experience in Internal Controls, Risk Management and Internal or External Audit;
Practical knowledge of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX);
Solid knowledge of risk management frameworks;
Language skills: intermediate level in English and/or Spanish;
Postgraduate degree and/or certification in Internal Controls;
