About the role

  • Develop and implement agile solutions to meet mandates, reduce AOS, and improve aircraft performance, customer experience, and operational reliability.
  • Propose foundational solutions that strengthen more analytical decision-making processes through data integration, metrics and technical expertise.
  • Validate aircraft groundings for maintenance and define investigations to be conducted by line and hangar maintenance technicians.
  • Issue technical advisories for GOL’s internal audience.
  • Assist in the development of major aircraft modifications (STC/CST), in partnership with suppliers.
  • Monitor correct execution and propose improvements in the application of modifications and repairs on-site.
  • Prepare monitoring metrics for systems and components to increase fleet reliability and reduce maintenance-related unavailability.
  • Analyze failures and propose fleet-level mitigation solutions using data from MOQA reports, AHM, maintenance data collection tasks, AMOS workflow, duct pressure spreadsheets, fluid consumption logs, analysis of recurring items, among others.
  • Provide support in implementing new projects focused on reliability, modernization and cost reduction.
  • Participate in internal forums to discuss and develop process improvements (tactical level), acting as the Engineering technical representative, issuing opinions and assigning tasks to other team members.
  • Provide technical support to internal customers (GOL) by consulting maintenance manuals, component manuals and applicable regulations with a focus on returning the aircraft to service.
  • Analyze and issue technical opinions of low and medium complexity based on technical data issued by regulatory agencies and manufacturers of products and parts operated by GOL.
  • Prepare and update technical documents of low and medium complexity, ensuring compliance with technical data issued by regulatory agencies and manufacturers.
  • Search for alternative materials and equivalent tools listed in technical manuals.
  • Support the development of alternative materials and equivalent tools not listed in technical manuals.
  • Register materials originating from projects, risk analyses and technical documents.
  • Develop improvements to the processes and/or products of the Maintenance Technical Directorate based on reliability data, operational safety (safety), difficulty-in-service reports, safety actions, aeronautical authorities and the Continuous Analysis and Supervision System (SASC).
  • Prepare management reports of technical, safety, financial and customer experience nature for the Maintenance Technical Directorate.
  • Develop procedures and normative instructions.
  • Perform follow-up, budgeting, warranty claims and definition of workscope for repairs of major assemblies such as the APU (Auxiliary Power Unit) and Landing Gear, as well as schedule their replacements.
  • Request warranties related to the application of SB, SL, consumables and aircraft under warranty.
  • Analyze, on demand, repair documentation issued by component repair shops.
  • Insert tasks, intervals and applicability for control and management of activities in the Aircraft Maintenance Program.
  • Develop information tools, algorithms, dashboards and queries to monitor and improve business performance, staying current on analytics, artificial intelligence and big data technologies.
  • Identify and report hazards in operations.
  • Know and comply with GOL’s Environmental Policy (PO-DI4002-001) and the guidelines of the Environmental Management System Manual (MSGA), as per PR-DI4002-001, as well as environmental legislation applicable to their activities.
