About the role

  • Work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams, maintaining clear communication and positive relationships with different business areas.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain mathematical models for simulation, optimization, and decision support across company processes.
  • Translate business problems into mathematical formulations (e.g., linear programming, integer programming, mixed-integer programming, nonlinear programming).
  • Develop scalable computational solutions with a focus on performance, robustness, and maintainability.
  • Write clean, well-structured, and well-documented code, following software engineering best practices.
  • Participate in the full application development lifecycle (analysis, modeling, implementation, testing, validation, and evolution).
  • Work closely with users and stakeholders to understand needs, validate results, and exceed expectations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience in data exploration, analysis, and visualization.
  • Knowledge of applied statistics, including probability, hypothesis testing, and exploratory analysis.
  • 2–3 years of professional experience with Operations Research methods, including some of the following: Linear Programming; Integer Programming; Mixed-Integer Programming; Nonlinear Optimization.
  • Advanced programming skills in Python, including familiarity with open-source libraries.
  • Experience developing analytical applications with an emphasis on maintenance and continuous evolution.
