About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Deliver high-quality patient care in state-of-the-art urgent care centers
- Treat pediatric and adult patient populations
- Perform minor procedures, including sutures, casts and splints
- Conduct preliminary reads on EKGs and X-rays
- Work collaboratively with Rad Techs, Medical Assistants and other healthcare team members
- Utilize imaging, laboratory services and an advanced integrated EMR (Epic)
- Provide personal, connected patient experiences in partnership with Mercy-GoHealth Urgent Care
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 18 months of full-time experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in an Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine setting (required)
- Experience treating both pediatric and adult patient populations (required)
- Comfortable with minor procedures including sutures, casts and splints (required)
- Preliminary reads on EKGs and X-rays (required)
- Physician Assistants: Master’s degree and NCCPA Certification required
- Nurse Practitioners: Master’s degree and appropriate certification required (AANC or AANP)
