About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the primary system administrator and subject matter expert for the Workday Learning platform
  • Configure, maintain, and optimize Workday Learning functionality, including assignments, certifications, campaigns, learner audiences, security roles, business processes, and system settings
  • Establish and maintain LMS governance standards, documentation, procedures, and quality controls
  • Evaluate, test, and implement Workday releases, new functionality, and system enhancements
  • Administer enterprise learning programs, compliance training, certifications, curricula, pathways, and other learning initiatives
  • Create, publish, update, archive, and maintain instructor-led, virtual, blended, and eLearning content
  • Partner with Learning & Development, Talent Management, IT, Operations, and business stakeholders to deploy learning solutions
  • Develop, maintain, and distribute reports, dashboards, and analytics on participation, compliance, completion, certifications, adoption, and effectiveness
  • Analyze learning and system data, perform audits, and manage data maintenance activities
  • Identify opportunities for automation, process improvements, workflow optimization, and system enhancements
  • Support integrations, data exchanges, imports, and maintenance between Workday Learning and enterprise systems, including Workday HCM
  • Serve as the escalation point for complex system issues, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and solution implementation
  • Monitor system performance and user experience metrics and recommend improvements
  • Consult with stakeholders and translate learning needs into scalable Workday Learning solutions
  • Provide training, guidance, and support to administrators, managers, instructors, and learners
  • Lead or participate in LMS implementations, upgrades, migrations, enhancements, and continuous improvement projects
  • Maintain current knowledge of Workday Learning capabilities, learning technologies, industry trends, and best practices

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Informatics, Information Technology, Instructional Design, Education, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field
  • Direct work experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
  • 3+ years of direct experience in Learning Management System (LMS) administration
  • Significant experience or certification using Workday Learning LMS
  • Workday Learning certifications highly desired
  • Experience with Workday HRIS and API integrations
  • Experience with Docuware and Sigma to store and analyze data
  • Troubleshooting skills and knowledge of deeper LMS functionalities
  • Advanced knowledge of Workday Learning administration, including assignments, certifications, campaigns/engagements, course management, learner audiences, security roles, and compliance processes
  • Demonstrated experience administering and optimizing enterprise LMS platforms
  • Strong understanding of SCORM, xAPI, online learning content deployment, learning pathways, certifications, and compliance-based training programs
  • Experience supporting Workday Learning implementations, enhancements, tenant testing, release management, data migration, and post-implementation optimization
  • Working knowledge of Workday EIB, data imports, mass uploads, integrations, and data management processes
  • Ability to build, analyze, and maintain reports, dashboards, and learning analytics
  • Knowledge of HRIS and learning-system integrations, APIs, data exchanges, and enterprise system architecture
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, including root-cause analysis and complex technical issue resolution
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to establish LMS governance standards, procedures, documentation, and quality controls
  • Experience managing multiple priorities, projects, and system initiatives
  • Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and take ownership of system performance and user experience
  • Ability to build partnerships across Learning & Development, Talent Management, IT, Operations, and business stakeholder groups
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Proficiency with reporting and data-analysis tools such as Workday Reporting, Sigma, Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms
  • Experience with instructional design and eLearning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Rise, Vyond, Adobe Captivate, or similar solutions is preferred
  • Travel may be required, including travel between company locations and out-of-town destinations, up to 10%
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull materials, supplies, and equipment up to 15 lbs. may be required
