About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Treat adult and pediatric patients in an urgent care setting
- Provide clinical services for acute episodic conditions, including sore throats, colds, flu-like symptoms, cuts, sprains, and minor infections
- Assess patients and recognize more serious conditions
- Direct patients to the emergency room for advanced care when necessary
- Perform minor procedures such as sutures, casts, and splints
- Conduct preliminary reads on EKGs and X-rays
- Deliver an unparalleled, personal, and connected patient experience
- Work collaboratively with UCSF Health-GoHealth Urgent Care providers and health-system specialists
- Utilize integrated imaging, laboratory, and EPIC electronic medical record resources
Requirements
What you’ll need- One year of full-time experience in an Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine setting preferred
- Experience treating both pediatric and adult patient populations (all ages) required
- Comfortable with minor procedures, including sutures, casts, and splints
- Preliminary reads on EKGs and X-rays required
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Internal Medicine/Pediatrics
