About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Collaborate with Medical Providers and Medical Assistants through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication.
  • Exercise professional judgment to provide health care services, including applying x-ray energy to assist in diagnosis or treatment of patients in all age groups
  • Responsible for providing a variety of technical procedures and applying prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis
  • Provide administrative support to ensure efficient operation of Inova-GoHealth Urgent Care Centers
  • Maintain accurate patient records and logging completed procedures in electronic systems and/or logbooks as required
  • Conduct preliminary physical tests (blood pressure, weight, temperature, etc.) for vital signs and escalate critical cases to provider as needed.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma required
  • Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technologist program required
  • Experience in a clinical setting preferred
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required at the time of hire, obtained through the American Red Cross (ARC) or American Heart Association (AHA)
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration required at time of hire
  • State licensure as a Radiologic Technologist is required at the time of hire (if applicable by state law)
