About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide support to Medical Providers, Radiologic Technologist, and patients
- Perform limited capacity x-rays for patients and report results to Medical Providers
- Conduct patient registration and verify insurance
- Prepare patients for examination and conduct preliminary physical tests
- Maintain medical records and answer patient inquiries
- Ensure exam rooms are stocked and maintained
- Complete opening and closing duties, including cashing out and securing the building
Requirements
What you’ll need- Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Medical Assistant experience preferred
- Experience performing x-rays preferred
- Limited X-Ray Certification (LLRT or LMRT)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required at the time of hire
- One of the following certifications: CCMA, CMA, RMA, NCMA, NRCMA, or equivalent
- State-specific licensure for limited x-ray services as needed
- Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software.
