About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide support to the Medical Providers, Radiologic Technologist, and patients through a variety of tasks
  • Perform limited capacity x-rays for patients and report results to Medical Providers
  • Complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner
  • Conduct patient registration, which includes securing required paperwork and insurance documentation
  • Prepare patients for examination and conduct point of care testing as needed
  • Stock supplies and maintain exam rooms, front desk, and reception area
  • Perform maintenance of medical records and scanning charts to patient files
  • Ensure reception is well maintained and conduct follow-up calls for patient follow-up

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Medical Assistant experience preferred
  • Experience performing x-rays preferred
  • Limited X-Ray Certification (LLRT or LMRT)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required at the time of hire
  • One of the following certifications is required at the time of hire OR must be obtained within fifteen (15) months of your hire date to continue employment as a Certified Medical Assistant: CCMA- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant, CMA- Certified Medical Assistant, RMA- Registered Medical Assistant, NCMA- National Certified Medical Assistant, NRCMA – Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant
  • Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing or LPN or RN, EMT – Emergency Medical Technician, CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant
