About the role
- Assists in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of an urgent care provider
- Manages the check-in and registration process
- Interview patients and measures vital signs
- Records information on patients' charts
- May be required to draw and collect blood samples
- Prepares treatment rooms for examination
Requirements
- High School Diploma required
- Graduate of a Medical Assisting Program preferred
- Medical Assistant experience preferred
- Front Desk experience preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required at the time of hire
- One of the following certifications required: CCMA, CMA, RMA, NCMA, NRCMA
- In lieu of MA Certification, accept Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing, LPN or RN, EMT, CNA
