About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Prepare and review full sets of accounts in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and delivering outputs within agreed timelines.
  • Perform account reconciliations, prepare and review management reports and accounting schedules, identify anomalies, and propose corrective actions.
  • Handle all payment transactions and vendor management.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to Associates, while overseeing the quality and timeliness of their deliverables.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, policies, procedures, and internal controls. Support internal and external audits, as well as statutory and regulatory filings.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on routine accounting matters.
  • Develop, maintain, and regularly update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes and efficiency.
  • Identify recurring issues or risks, recommend improvements, and support implementation of solutions or projects.
  • Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or a related field.
  • Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is an added advantage.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Finance and Accounting.
  • Experience in BPO or shared services environment is preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Office and familiar with digital/AI tools.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
