About the role
- Lead design across complex problem spaces and multi-feature user journeys for GoFundMe Pro
- Mentor other designers and help evolve the Heart design system
- Serve as a core part of a triad leadership team with Product and Engineering to shape vision, strategy, and execution
- Drive cross-functional collaboration to unlock user value and guide platform evolution
- Define the experience strategy for the GoFundMe Pro product and drive consensus across teams
- Set the bar for design excellence at GoFundMe Pro
- Leverage quantitative and qualitative data to drive design decisions that create user value and business impact
- Facilitate design workshops with cross-functional team members to ideate, brainstorm, and establish conceptual direction
- Create and deliver high-fidelity designs, prototypes, and specifications
- Collaborate with the product team to turn conceptual ideas into usable, delightful, and valuable product features
- Actively participate in group design critiques to solicit and provide thoughtful feedback
Requirements
- 10-12 years of experience as a Product Designer working in-house or at an agency
- You enjoy mentoring other designers on design excellence, quality, and craft
- Expert understanding of the formal elements of design, including typography, layout, balance, and proportion
- Great aesthetic judgment and attention to detail
- Skilled at articulating your design decisions
- End-to-end experience designing consumer-facing experiences for web and native apps
- Problem solver who requires very little guidance and thrives in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to take initiative, prioritize, manage workloads, and meet project deadlines
- Excellent communicator who can clearly articulate design decisions, ideas, and vision
- Empathetic and have a user-centered approach to design
- Experience working with a lean team of Engineers, Product Managers and User Researchers
- Candidates considered for this role will be located in the San Francisco, Bay Area and must be in-office 3x a week
