About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Development and maintenance of backend services using Java or Kotlin
Creation of RESTful APIs and GraphQL endpoints for web and mobile applications
Design and optimization of a microservices architecture for scalability and performance
Work with relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra)
Ensure code quality through unit tests, integration tests and CI/CD pipelines
Collaborate with frontend developers, DevOps and product teams
Analyze and resolve production issues
Continuous learning of Java, Kotlin and backend technologies

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong knowledge of Java (8+) and/or Kotlin for backend development
Experience with the Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, Spring Security)
Experience in RESTful API design, OpenAPI/Swagger and API security (JWT, OAuth2)
Knowledge of microservices and Docker
Understanding of database design, SQL and ORM tools (Hibernate, JPA, Exposed for Kotlin)
Experience with message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ) for event-driven architectures
Familiarity with Git, Agile methodologies and DevOps (CI/CD, Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
Analytical skills and writing clean, maintainable code
