About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform rigorous title review, examining commitments, title search packages, underlying title documents, encumbrances, restrictions, and legal descriptions to identify and resolve title defects.
- Assist in reviewing surveys (ALTA/NSPS), entity organization documents, municipal lien searches, and closing disclosures for complex multi-property and commercial real estate deals.
- Coordinate closing mechanics, draft escrow instructions, handle recording processes, and clear title exceptions directly with commercial underwriting counsel.
- Work closely with lenders, developers, commercial brokers, attorneys, and underwriters to ensure seamless, on-time closings.
- Perform entity verifications, UCC filings, judgment searches, and compliance checks across local, state, and national jurisdictions.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3+ years of commercial real estate or commercial title/escrow paralegal experience (Law firm, Title Agency, or National Underwriter background preferred).
- Deep, hands-on experience in title review, title policy endorsements, survey analysis, and drafting closing documentation.
- Exceptional project management, strong analytical organization, and high attention to detail in fast-paced transaction environments.
- Proficiency in industry-standard title and closing software (e.g., SoftPro, RamQuest, Resware, or Qualia).
