About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Perform rigorous title review, examining commitments, title search packages, underlying title documents, encumbrances, restrictions, and legal descriptions to identify and resolve title defects.
Assist in reviewing surveys (ALTA/NSPS), entity organization documents, municipal lien searches, and closing disclosures for complex multi-property and commercial real estate deals.
Coordinate closing mechanics, draft escrow instructions, handle recording processes, and clear title exceptions directly with commercial underwriting counsel.
Work closely with lenders, developers, commercial brokers, attorneys, and underwriters to ensure seamless, on-time closings.
Perform entity verifications, UCC filings, judgment searches, and compliance checks across local, state, and national jurisdictions.

Requirements

What you’ll need

3+ years of commercial real estate or commercial title/escrow paralegal experience (Law firm, Title Agency, or National Underwriter background preferred).
Deep, hands-on experience in title review, title policy endorsements, survey analysis, and drafting closing documentation.
Exceptional project management, strong analytical organization, and high attention to detail in fast-paced transaction environments.
Proficiency in industry-standard title and closing software (e.g., SoftPro, RamQuest, Resware, or Qualia).
