About the role

  • Facilitate and manage the preparation and review of Go1’s tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all regulations
  • Identify and address tax issues across multiple jurisdictions (including Australia and the United States), implementing tax strategies to minimize liabilities
  • Manage tax audits and prepare all required documentation promptly
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external tax consultants and tax authorities
  • Conduct deep research on tax issues and prepare clear, actionable guidance
  • Analyze financial statements for tax implications and advise accordingly
  • Coordinate with Finance and Accounting to ensure accurate and timely tax reporting
  • Monitor tax calendars to ensure all filings are submitted on time
  • Recommend tax-efficient business practices and identify potential savings opportunities
  • Provide timely advice on matters such as withholding tax, sales tax, R&D credits, and relevant contract language
  • Report to the Head of Tax and Treasury and support the business with updates to policies and strategy
  • Work closely with the Accounting team to identify process improvements and potential areas of risk
  • Monitor changes in tax legislation affecting Go1’s operations across multiple jurisdictions

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 6+ years’ experience as a Tax Manager or in a senior role within a Big Four public accounting firm
  • Strong experience with international tax and transfer pricing
  • Advanced analytical, research, and problem-solving skills
  • In-depth knowledge of US federal, state and local tax laws
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and experience using an ERP (preferably) NetSuite
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a remote-first environment
  • Curiosity and openness to incorporating AI into workflows to enhance efficiency
  • Must be comfortable in a remote, global environment where non-traditional hours are the norm
