About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage all quality control activities at the manufacturing plant.
- Spend significant time on the production floor working with production supervisors and manufacturing engineers to resolve quality inconsistencies and reduce rejects.
- Conduct root-cause investigations using structured problem-solving methodologies (8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone, etc.).
- Ensure implementation of corrective and containment actions.
- Verify the effectiveness of corrective actions and recommend process improvements.
- Ensure proper execution of all product quality inspections (incoming, in-process, final) per the inspection plan.
- Supervise three quality control team members, providing guidance and feedback.
- Monitor manufacturing audits and the execution of quality procedures to identify deviations.
- Develop inspection plans and quality documentation for new products.
- Support the creation of quality control documents such as forms, procedures, and supplier quality requirements.
- Assist with Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).
- Support resolution of customer complaints.
- Liaise with suppliers to communicate product nonconformities or potential improvements and follow up on their corrective actions.
- Ensure calibration requirements are maintained for inspection and test equipment.
- Work with management to identify improvement opportunities and reduce non-quality costs.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Quality Control Manager.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Extensive knowledge of quality control procedures and root-cause analysis.
- Customer-focused and accountable.
- Meticulous and responsible.
- Proficient with MS Office.
- Experience with ISO 9001:2015 is an advantage.
