About the role
- Design and industrialize models that meet architecture, quality, performance and timing requirements
- Contribute to the design of the cured model and associated specifications, including mold and vent profiles, taking into account standardization and industrial constraints
- Create the uncured (green) model and build specifications suited to the plant’s processes and standards
- Lead quality planning activities (R2/R3) within the assignment
- Industrialize the uncured track model in the plant
- Lead prototype track build activities (pilot and/or concept)
- Analyze results and prepare reports for industrialization track builds
- Continuously improve designs and processes to anticipate customer needs and optimize industrial performance
- Lead root cause analyses for issues within the scope of the assignment
- Lead the development and deployment of solutions for a problem, a model, or a process change within the assignment scope
- Develop talent, provide mentorship and share expertise to ensure the team’s operational excellence
- Provide coaching and training, contributing to successful validation
- Optimize tools and methods to enhance design efficiency, risk management and operational performance
- Assess and mitigate risks and communicate findings to the steering committee and project teams
- Capture and disseminate best practices to ensure quality and reliability right-first-time (RFT)
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or an associated technical diploma with a minimum of 5 years’ industry experience, or equivalent experience in a related role (green design, industrialization or product development)
- Knowledge of rubber manufacturing processes, materials, and track and wheel products
- Experience with preparation processes and manufacturing follow-up for tracks and tooling
- Familiarity with mold technologies and curing processes
- Experience with industrial controls and measurement techniques
- Fluency in French and English, both written and spoken, to communicate effectively with all project stakeholders
- Proficiency with MS Office and experience with CAD tools (CREO and Windchill) is considered an asset
- Availability to travel up to 35% of the time, primarily within the United States
- Strong communication skills, team leadership and customer orientation. Ability to promote learning and development among team members
