About the role
- Apply current instructional design theory, research, and best practices to create training products, learning experiences, and workshops
- Manage instructional design projects from inception to completion, using structured project plans and timelines
- Track progress and provide regular project status updates
- Assess learner needs and design e-learning courses, blended learning, microlearning, simulations, gamification, guides, infographics, job aids, and coaching
- Contribute to planning documents such as training plans and storyboards
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather and validate content
- Utilize audio, video, simulations, and gamification to create immersive, interactive, and accessible learning experiences
- Build assessments to gauge attainment of critical skills and evaluate training effectiveness
- Support new product launches, updates, and software releases that impact learners
- Design learning for both internal colleagues and external customers, including Hearing Care Professionals
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in education, training and development, instructional design, communication, or related areas
- Tenured experience with instructional design and eLearning development
- Advanced proficiency developing in Articulate 360 tools (including Rise & Storyline)
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Audition, Acrobat, Illustrator)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Experience creating xAPI-enabled content for deployment in a learning experience platform (LXP) (preferred)
- Experience creating and editing videos and software simulations for eLearning (preferred)
- Administrator experience with LearnUpon (preferred)
- Experience developing learning solutions for a global audience, including translation and localization considerations (preferred)
- Experience using Airtable and Asana for project planning and database management (preferred)
- Experience using data analytics tools and building dashboards (preferred)
- Ability to collaborate with subject matter experts and cross-functional stakeholders
- Ability to manage instructional design projects from inception to completion
- Ability to work US time zone / Remote, US time
