Corporate Communications Specialist – II

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Create strategies and multimedia content that connect with customers, dealers and employees
- Brainstorm ideas, collaborate with others, develop strategic concepts and craft meaningful, compelling messages that inspire and motivate audiences to take action
- Write and edit content in a variety of channels, including: Websites, advertising, news releases, social media, employee communications, video scripts and executive messaging
- Partner with various stakeholders to create, develop and execute multi-channel campaigns and communication programs that drive results
- Own content planning, assist in production and host episodes of the financial literacy podcast, *Our Two Cents*
- Help manage the site for the online financial literacy program, KEYS by GM Financial® and projects with Marketing
- Develop new ideas to support and enhance the overall content strategy
- Act as a communication liaison to departments throughout the company
- Use strong organizational and project management skills while managing multiple priorities
- Consistently manage deadlines and priorities for multiple projects simultaneously
- Continually track, measure, evaluate and improve communication efforts that lead to enhanced team member experiences
Requirements
What you’ll need- Knowledge of strategic communications concepts, principles and theories
- Must be comfortable working both independently and as a team
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask
- Exhibit a strong understanding of marketing theories as related to strategic communications campaigns that are built to drive the reader to take an action
- Highly adaptable and quick to learn, with a proven ability to take ownership of unfamiliar tools and projects and make them successful
- Experience developing, hosting and producing podcasts or other multimedia storytelling content is a plus
- 3-5 years of experience in a related communications or marketing role required
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent professional work experience, in journalism, mass communications, public relations or related discipline required
