About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- The Remarketing Solutions Specialist II manages the sale of retail and lease vehicles at auctions nationwide, aiming to maximize recovery value, minimize losses, and ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
- This role involves developing and improving remarketing programs, building dealer relationships, overseeing auction operations and inventory, monitoring market trends, and coordinating with internal teams to optimize performance and results.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Advanced knowledge of state and federal laws/guidelines, with an emphasis on laws relating to repossession and remarketing of vehicles.
- Advanced knowledge of the Automobile Industry required.
- Knowledge of the Auction Industry preferred.
- Advanced computer knowledge with the ability to utilize the Internet while valuing vehicles and scheduling vehicles for sale.
- Outstanding communication and organizational skills.
- Detail oriented with strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Team player with the ability to work in a fast paced environment.
- Ability to work independently, be self-motivated, and utilize time wisely.
- Ability to use independent judgment and exercise discretion when accepting/rejecting bids.
- Basic mathematical skills to estimate the dollar value of the vehicles during the auction.
- Excellent negotiation skills.
- Ability to professionally represent GM Financial and maintain working relationships with vendors/auction personnel.
- Good interpersonal skills, with an ability to maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, subordinates, vendor personnel, and management.
- Must provide a demonstrated history of working in an unsupervised environment.
- Ability to use AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) to support daily work.
- Skills in evaluating AI outputs for accuracy, compliance, and bias.
- Experience integrating AI into workflows to improve efficiency or insights.
- Familiarity with AI assisted research, summarization, and content generation.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, including ethics and data protection.
