About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design and architect unified testing frameworks that enable seamless portability of test cases across Software-in-the-Loop (SIL), Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL), and simulation environments.
Build, configure, and maintain physical HIL benches and associated hardware interfaces (e.g., CAN adapters) to simulate real-world vehicle environments.
Integrate automated HIL testing directly into the Continuous Integration (CI) pipelines, ensuring code stability and preventing regressions prior to merging.
Collaborate closely with software engineering teams to understand their needs, identify and implement improvements in our Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) Infrastructure and Continuous Integration (CI) systems.
Monitor and report on runtime performance, system health, and reliability metrics across all HIL testing platforms.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Deep understanding of Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL), Software-in-the-Loop (SIL), and simulation testing strategies, particularly for safety-critical systems.
Proficiency in scripting and test automation languages (e.g., Python, C++, and Bash) to build robust, scalable testing frameworks.
Strong knowledge of CI/CD best practices and principles. Direct experience with Buildkite is a plus.
Hands-on ability to troubleshoot physical test benches, including reading electrical schematics and using lab tools like oscilloscopes, multimeters, and PCAN adapters.
Experience using infrastructure-as-code and environment management tools (specifically Nix, or similar tools like Docker/Ansible) to ensure reproducible test environments.
