About the role
- Support alignment planning for project pursuits, including site and corridor analysis, selecting an appropriate guideway type, and establishing access point locations.
- Developing site-specific access point site plans with consideration to vehicle and pedestrian circulation and support facilities using various 2D & 3D design and planning tools.
- Produce system drawings, quantity take‑offs, and prepare cost estimates.
- Produce clear graphics that support commercial partners - plans, sections, diagrams, and layouts for proposals and presentations.
- Support production for renderings, animations, and VR experiences, ensuring visuals are grounded in system geometry and constraints.
- Partner with Infrastructure, Product, and Engineering teams to ensure concepts align with evolving design criteria and system requirements.
Requirements
- 5+ years in architecture, urban design, transportation planning, or a related field.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in architecture, urban planning, engineering, or similar.
- Experience in site analysis, space planning, and alignment/layout design.
- Experience preparing drawings in a professional office setting, including site plans, floor plans, sections, and details.
- Ability to independently review architectural & engineering drawings, as well as prepare quantity take-offs and cost estimates.
- Exposure to transit, campus, airport, or city-scale capital infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in 3D modeling & preparing 2D drawings including AutoCAD, Revit, & Rhino + Enscape.
- Graphic design with proficiency in Adobe suite.
- Bluebeam Revu for drawing review & coordination.
- Ability to turn complex spatial and technical ideas into simple, visual stories.
- Strong written and verbal communication; comfortable presenting to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Self‑organized, able to manage multiple pursuits and deadlines in a fast‑moving environment.
- A portfolio and/or relevant work samples demonstrating technical proficiency is required. Please include a PDF (max ~10 MB) or a link to an online portfolio. A software skills test may be required during the interview process.
