About the role
- Drive the strategic planning cycle: own and orchestrate the Global Business Plan and re-forecast processes. You ensure that our long-term vision is backed by rigorous financial modeling and operational reality.
- Influence the investment strategy: you will translate complex performance metrics into actionable insights for the Leadership Team, ensuring capital is allocated to the most impactful initiatives.
- Stakeholder orchestration: act as the primary finance contact for Directors and Heads of departments, navigating uncomfortable discussions with empathy and data-backed confidence to drive the right business outcomes.
- Challenge & Control: take full ownership of monthly reporting and controlling functions from HQ. You won’t just aggregate data; you will challenge local teams and vertical heads to ensure global targets are met and variances are explained.
- Implement best practices: identify 'what works' in one market or vertical and build the roll-out plans to scale those efficiencies globally.
- Process evolution: proactively overhaul existing processes. At Glovo, we don’t do things because 'this is how it has been done.' You will leverage technology and automation to make our FP&A functions world-class.
- Thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment that demands precision, fosters proactive cross-functional collaboration, and rewards ownership and teamwork.
Requirements
- Degree: in Business or Economics (preferred), or another degree.
- Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience in Finance, Consultancy or Strategic FP&A. You have a proven track record of influencing senior stakeholders.
- Analytical mastery: expert-level Google Sheets/Excel skills. You can build complex, integrated financial models that are both robust and easy for non-finance stakeholders to understand.
- Strategic thinking: the ability to see beyond the spreadsheet. You understand the 'why' behind the numbers and can communicate the 'so what' to executives.
- Diligence & Drive: you are known for ensuring things are done on time and with high quality. You don’t run away from complexity; you simplify it.
- Communication: strong oral and written communication skills in English. You can navigate a multicultural environment and build trust across different time zones.
- Tech-savviness: familiarity with ERPs and FP&A software is a significant plus. Anaplan knowledge is a plus.
- IT WOULD BE A PLUS: Spanish oral & written communication.
- Experience in the Technology and/or E-commerce industry.
- Advanced data visualization skills (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Experience with OneStream and Anaplan.
