About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide temporary staffing support as part of a strategic response team in the Mid-Atlantic region, with weekly-changing assignments
- Obtain detailed patient medical histories
- Consult with surgeons regarding patient structures at risk and monitoring modalities
- Communicate monitoring information to surgeons and surgical teams throughout procedures
- Display and label waveforms; mark, measure, and calculate latencies, amplitudes, and conduction times according to established protocols
- Identify appropriate protocols and troubleshoot to ensure accurate data collection
- Complete required documentation and prepare IOM logs, files, and timely uploads
- Maintain neuromonitoring equipment and perform required maintenance checks
- Adhere to company, AdvaMed, and MedTech codes and policies
- Complete compliance training and maintain knowledge of applicable laws and regulations
- Represent the company professionally and uphold ethical and socially responsible business practices
Requirements
What you’ll need- A Bachelor’s degree is required
- Valid US driver's license required
- Private transportation required
- Operating Room (OR) experience preferred, but not required
- Ability to transport and set up equipment totaling 50lbs in a timely fashion in the operating room, including IONM system, laptop, and supplies
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to manage competing demands, frequent change, delays and/or unexpected events in scheduling and in the operating room on a daily basis
- Effective communication skills and proven ability to collaborate in a team-oriented setting, including communication in English with surgeons and surgical staff
- Ability to handle the demands of regular travel
- Qualified for and able to maintain privileges at all required hospitals, including applicable physical or vaccination requirements, including COVID-19 vaccination as applicable
- Eligible for medical malpractice insurance coverage at standard rates
- Able to travel overnight for multiple days each week
- Ability to bend over, stand for several periods, and perform duties requiring visual, auditory, and manual dexterity skills
- Ability to wear gloves, masks, gowns, and goggles for extended periods
