About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, develop, and evolve highly available and scalable back-end services
Participate in defining and evolving the platform architecture
Build solutions based on microservices and event-driven architecture
Ensure observability, resilience, and performance of systems
Collaborate with product, architecture, and engineering teams to deliver business solutions
Promote engineering, quality, and architecture best practices
Analyze and resolve incidents in distributed environments
Contribute through code reviews, technical mentorship, and team development.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree or higher
Solid experience with Java
Experience developing REST APIs and microservices
Knowledge of Quarkus (optional) or Spring Boot
Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Knowledge of Pub/Sub or RabbitMQ
Experience with monetization platforms, billing, or subscription systems
Familiarity with Google Play Billing, Apple App Store, and Roku ecosystems
Knowledge of evolutionary architecture practices and Domain-Driven Design (DDD)
Experience with MongoDB
Experience with event-driven architecture
Knowledge of CQRS patterns
Experience with distributed systems
Knowledge of resilience strategies such as Circuit Breaker, Retry, and Timeout
Experience with messaging and asynchronous processing
Knowledge of observability (logs, metrics, and tracing)
Strong communication skills and ability to work in collaborative environments
Ability to discuss architecture and make technical decisions autonomously
SDK development experience (plus)
Experience developing for Apps (advantageous: e-commerce and/or entertainment)
Java certification (advantageous)
Google Cloud certification (advantageous)
