About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the squad in quality-related activities throughout the product development cycle;
- Participate in the squad's agile ceremonies, contributing the product quality perspective;
- Study and understand product requirements, business rules, and acceptance criteria;
- Design and execute manual functional, exploratory, and regression test scenarios;
- Support, under team guidance, the creation and maintenance of automated tests;
- Record defects found clearly, with evidence, reproduction steps, and expected behavior;
- Track fixes with the development team, performing re-tests when necessary;
- Support documentation of tests, evidence, product flows, and team learnings;
- Assist with validations across different environments, devices, and browsers, when applicable;
- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes by raising questions, suggestions, and best practices;
- Ensure the product meets quality standards before release.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Systems Analysis and Development, or related fields;
- Initial knowledge or experience in Quality Assurance, software testing, or related areas;
- Knowledge of functional testing, exploratory testing, regression testing, and validation of fixes;
- Familiarity with creating and executing test scenarios, test cases, collecting evidence, and defect reporting;
- Familiarity with management and tracking tools such as Jira, Qase, or similar;
- Basic knowledge of API testing using tools like Postman, Insomnia, or similar;
- Basic knowledge of Git and code versioning;
- Familiarity with agile methodologies like Scrum or Kanban;
- Good verbal and written communication to document issues, evidence, and lessons learned;
- Attention to detail, curiosity, organization, and eagerness to learn;
- Ability to work collaboratively with product, development, design, and other teams.
- Basic knowledge of test automation with Playwright, Robot Framework, Selenium, or similar tools;
- Familiarity with JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or another language used in test automation;
- Experience with automated API testing and integration validations;
- Understanding of the test pyramid, unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests;
- Responsible use of AI to support QA activities, such as creating scenarios, error analysis, documentation, and initial script generation;
- Interest or experimentation with agents, MCP servers and AI-assisted automation applied to testing;
- Participation in bootcamps, personal projects, courses, tech communities, or practical QA studies;
- Certifications or studies focused on testing fundamentals, such as CTFL/ISTQB or similar.
