About the role

  • Collaborate closely with an assigned country of the ALDI SÜD Group as a strategic Business Partner, ensuring comprehensive data analysis that translates into actionable insights
  • Proactively engage in business performance reviews with country leadership by presenting key findings, discussing implications and collaboratively developing measures for improvement
  • Source and rigorously analyse market trends and competitor activities to develop a deeper understanding of market dynamics
  • Manage timely and accurate reporting processes, while overseeing ongoing monitoring and planning efforts for the country’s performance metric
  • Analyse and review operational KPIs to provide transparency about the country’s performance, linking these to the Group’s steering relevant KPIs
  • Challenge the data and act as sparring partner to uncover improvement opportunities
  • Provide ad-hoc analyses and assess local investment initiatives to determine their potential impact and feasibility
  • Serve as the primary contact for the national finance organisation and act as an interface between the country and wider Group Controlling
  • Support senior management in making informed decisions by translating complex data and reports into clear narratives and presenting them in engaging formats

Requirements

  • Several years of working experience in Finance / Controlling / Accounting in an international corporate organisation
  • Completed degree in business administration, economics or finance
  • Work experience in the (grocery) retail industry is a plus
  • Specialised qualifications or working experience in SAP FI / CO, SAP BW
  • Confident with BI tools and the usage of dashboards, queries etc.
  • Strong analytical skills with a passion to identifying the drivers behind numbers and combining quantitative data with qualitative information
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, ability to engage with stakeholders at various levels
  • Desire to work in dynamic environments and enjoy collaborating with international stakeholders
  • Business-fluent in English
